The Remy Martin party at Wan Chai's One Fifth on Wednesday night disappointed many in the local press who hoped to capture more celebrities at the scene.
Despite the long list of more than 30 stars comprising mostly local actors or celebrities in the media invitation letter, nearly half of the invited guests were absent, though there were plenty of media staff milling around inside and out.
Socialite-photographer Eydie Tai Ni-ting, was one of the few celebrities that the press managed to capture on the bar's stairs. The 32-year-old plans to launch her second exhibition this November in Hong Kong, featuring her favourite black-and-white portraits. 'I have photographed many famous actors, actresses and supermodels. This time I will have some of my self-portraits, which is just for fun.'
Meanwhile, the young photographer also plans to take advantage of her career to meet her idol Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi.
'She is an amazing artist. She had agreed to be my model. Yet it is hard to arrange a time, as we are both very busy. If I can finally shoot pictures for her, it will really be a dream-come-true process for me.'
