The Regal Kowloon Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui has two new food and beverage outlets. Mezzo Grill, which replaces LA Brasserie, features mesquite-grilled dishes and modern fusion cuisine. The menu includes five oyster shooters with caviar (above right; lime sherbet, tomato salsa, jalapeno salsa, roasted garlic remoulade and sambuca-infused tomato granita, HK$98), poached prawns on sweet tomato tartare with raspberry vinaigrette (HK$88), lobster seafood skewer (above left; HK$188), pan-fried gulf scallops and garlic-roasted capsicums with strawberry tomato sauce (below left; HK$188), roasted duck breast with honey glaze on pumpkin batonnets and Sichuan pepper sauce (below right; HK$178), and apple sherbet on lemongrass and mint consomme (HK$58). There's also a five-course set dinner available for HK$298 plus 10 per cent.
Basso Jazz Bar replaces Le Rendezvous Bar. It serves wine, cocktails and other drinks and bar food (buffalo wings with Cajun spices, HK$58; nachos with sour cream, cheese and guacamole, HK$58; and New Orleans oyster kebabs with tartar sauce, HK$68). Musicians perform Monday to Saturday evenings, playing jazz, oldies and Canto-pop.
