The third Hong Kong Forex Trading Simulation Competition is accepting applications. The annual contest is jointly organised by student associations from various tertiary institutions. The number of participants increased from 1,000 in the first year to more than 2,000 last year. University students can register for the competition using their student e-mail accounts. They can also sign up for other related events, such as talks about smart investment. Online application forms and other information can be found at the Hong Kong Youth and Tertiary Students Association website at www.hkytsa.org When the competition begins in October, students will be able to access real-time exchange rates and trade 24 hours a day. Each participant will be allocated a fixed amount of virtual funding to trade. Investment experts will provide updated financial news and commentaries. They will also share their experiences in the foreign exchange market. The top 20 student traders will be awarded certificates and other prizes.
