Songs for Suicidal Lovers
(Drum Music)
The mysterious Shamus Dark is, according to his website, a 58-year- old British-Chinese-Malay.
A one-time communist and punk rock impresario, he was recently found crooning jazz standards in the basement bar of a hotel in Penang and lured into the recording studio by Hong Kong-based producer and music maven Pete Millward. Or he could be someone else entirely.

As a singer, 'Dark' is a student of the softly-softly school and on Songs for Suicidal Lovers he lends a whispy voice to some well-worn classics - among them Hoagy Carmichael's I Get Along Without You Very Well and Johnny Mercer's One for My Baby (And One More for the Road).
