Tycoon Li Ka-shing (centre) was among dignitaries including Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen who paid their respects yesterday to Lo Ying-shek, who died on September 1, aged 93. The hall at the Hong Kong Funeral Home in North Point, where a vigil was held before today's funeral, was lined with floral tributes to the founder of property and hotels giant Great Eagle Holdings. Lo retained the top posts in the group he founded in 1955 but he had ceded management to his children, among them Vincent Lo Hong-sui, Lo Yuk-sui and Lo Ka-shui.
