Love Phobia is a bitter-sweet Korean romance that shows us how people overcome obstacles with love and imagination.

Korean actress Gang Hye-jung plays Ari, a girl who claims to be a cursed alien from outer space. In the opening scenes, we see Ari as a little girl who lives in a temple. She goes to school in a yellow raincoat to prevent her curse from spreading to her classmates.

The fairytale opening quickly moves on to romance as her classmate Jo Kang falls for her. But one rainy day, Ari mysteriously disappears. Jo Kang's family then move from the countryside to the city and the young sweethearts lose touch.

Ten years later, Jo Kang (played by Korean heartthrob Cho Seung-woo) receives a call from Ari. Jo Kang is now a high school student, and Ari invites him to study with her in the temple. The pair have a wonderful time together, but just as their love is about to blossom, Ari vanishes again.

Ari reappears years later, and this time says a spaceship will be coming to Earth to take her home. Is Ari lying or is she really an angel from outer space?

The two stars make a lovely couple. Audiences will easily relate to Jo Kang, who - empowered by his love for Ari - shows faith in the unbelievable. The scene in which he travels all the way back to the city to bring a lunch box back for Ari at night will bring a smile to anyone who has been in love or has yearned for love.
