Dongguan-based Lanwa Red Bull went to the top of the First Division standings after thrashing Wo Foo Tai Po 6-0 yesterday.

With three straight wins,  Lanwa lead nearest challengers Kitchee by three points.

Tai Po team secretary Chan Ping said they needed to strengthen the squad immediately after losing all three of their matches. 'We will reveal three new foreign players next week. Our defence was just too poor,' said Chan.

Playing at their home ground, Lanwa were in total control. They were two goals up in the first 45 minutes and added four more after the break.



Lanwa trounce Tai Po to go top
