Updated at 3.48pm: Police are investigating an accident in the New Territories which killed a 21-year-old man and left three others injured, a spokesman said on Tuesday.
The accident occurred on Monday about 10.40pm on Kam Sheung Road near Hoi Tong Garden, Pat Heung.
A private car bound for Tai Po failed to stop in time when the car in front slowed down. It then swerved to the opposite lane and hit a third car in the lane, the spokesman said.
The car then overturned, he added.
A 21-year-old man, who drove the subject car, and a 21-year-old man passenger, were injured. Both were sent to the North District Hospital, but the passenger was certified dead at 11.26pm, the spokesman said.
A 30-year-old man, who drove the third car, and a 32-year-old on board, were slightly injured. They were also sent to the North District Hospital, the spokesman said.
