Watching television while driving is a problem, but doing the same while performing everyday ablutions isn't a bad idea.

At least the judges of the 2006 Australian Home Beautiful Product of the Year Awards thought
so: recently they awarded Mirror Image, a mirror-cum-television-screen also known as Magic
Mirror, the bathroom design prize at Sydney's Powerhouse Museum. The product, invented
by Germany's ad notam (www.ad-notam.com), delivers images with sound on mirror and glass surfaces, which means it's suitable not only for bathrooms but also for kitchens and areas in which you wouldn't usually put a standard television set. Turn on Mirror Image and a picture appears like a genie; turn it off and all you see is your reflection. Prices start from A$3,499 (HK$20,500).
