Pakistan are going back to the future in an attempt to reassert their dominance at the Cathay Pacific/Standard Chartered Hong Kong International Cricket Sixes. Four-time winners Pakistan have confirmed a powerful seven-man squad to compete for the US$100,000 first prize at the Kowloon Cricket Club (KCC) from November 11-12, with Imran Nazir returning to the fold. Nazir was an integral member of the triumphant Pakistan teams in 2001 and 2002 but was absent last year. Also making a welcome return will be Naved Latif, the hero of the 2002 final defeat of England when he smashed 31 runs. Naved was also conspicuous by his absence in 2005, but next month he will join a team that includes two survivors from last year - young paceman Riaz Afridi and experienced all-rounder Yasir Arafat.Staff Reporter Pakistan squad: Hasan Raza; Imran Nazir (captain); Naved Latif; Riaz Afridi; Tahir Mughal; Yasir Arafat; Zulqarnain Haider.
