visibility meter will give a clearer view A visibility meter was put into use yesterday by the Observatory to provide more frequent and objective data to the public. The meter, at the government pier in Sheung Wan, uses infrared to monitor particles in the air to determine visibility. Data is be updated every 10 minutes on the observatory's website. Bird's nest stolen Police are investigating the theft of bird's nest worth HK$150,000 from a dried food shop in Aberdeen yesterday. Police were called to Aberdeen Main Street at 9.30am after the owner arrived and found the premises ransacked. Police said the padlock at the front gate had been broken open. Two hurt in collision Two motorists were yesterday injured in a head-on collision between a car and taxi on the Texaco Road flyover at about 1am. The driver of the car, 32, and the taxi driver, 58, were taken to hospital for treatment. Last night they were in stable condition.
