The report 'Clean-air package aims to remove old diesel vehicles' published on Page A3 yesterday said if Hong Kong's 340,000-strong fleet of private cars was replaced, emissions of nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide would be cut by 1 per cent and 15 per cent respectively. The cut in emissions, by 1 per cent for both pollutants, should be achievable if 15 per cent of the fleet was replaced. The error was introduced in the editing process. The report 'Focus expected to be on fight against graft' on Page A7 on Wednesday incorrectly identified Richard Baum as director of the Centre for Chinese Studies at the University of California-Los Angeles. He relinquished that position last year and is now a professor of political science at the university. The error was introduced in the editing process.
