Budding artistry

Carnations have a long fight ahead in winning back public acceptance, but in Rosenthal's eye-catching vases they more than hold their own still. The eye is first directed towards the interesting porcelain designs, which are striking when adorned or empty. Opening (HK$1,980 for the 33cm vase, HK$1,020 for the 17cm one) features a neck resembling shattered egg shells; and Taped (HK$1,500 and HK$720), set on a classic Arne Jacobsen Series 7 chair, resembles a football in a plaster cast.
