Thin models may be out of favour on the fashion catwalks of Milan and Madrid, but being skinny remains all the rage in the digital-camera market. Leading the pack and striking a pose is Casio Computer's svelte Exilim Card EX-S770 digital camera, which measures 94.5mm x 60.4mm x 17.3mm and weighs 127 grams, without battery and accessories.
Casio appears to have trumped top rivals Sony and Canon in the ultra-thin category by boosting the Exilim Card's features. Available in red, blue or silver, the EX-S770 shoots 7.2-megapixel still images, records high-quality widescreen video in MPEG 4 format and has a large, 2.8-inch liquid crystal display that is bright enough to use outdoors on a sunny day.
It also boasts software that allows a range of data - e-mail, webpages, maps and business documents - to be converted to JPEG format and transferred to the camera. Users can toss away bulky guidebooks and rely on this snapper for tourist information and for taking pictures.
Made in Japan, the Exilim Card EX-S770 digital camera is priced at HK$3,280 and comes with a 1-gigabyte Secure Digital memory card.
