Pretty boy Carl Ng Ka-lung might have posed his way through Hong Kong schlock like Colour Blossoms but he's moved on to bigger and better film projects. We found the model-turned-actor hanging out at the Evisu Ocean Terminal shop opening on Thursday, where he dropped his Zoolander face and gave us the low-down on working with French director Olivier Assayas (formerly Mr Maggie Cheung Man-yuk) this summer. The film project, called Boarding Gate, co-stars Taiwanese actress Kelly Lin Xi-lei, Michael Madsen and Asia Argento, and clearly left an impression on the budding thespian. 'Hong Kong directors will do, like, three takes of a scene but Olivier might do 30 or 40. Some might look at that as annoying but it's actually a great opportunity. Half of it was shot in Hong Kong and half in Paris. I think he's going to present a really different view of Hong Kong.' But an even more arduous task awaits Ng. He's joining an adventure trek through the Himalayas to raise money for a children's charity in December and he's seeking sponsors now. If you can help, e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org .
