She specialises in advising multinational companies and high net-worth individuals on individual tax issues, such as employee's remuneration package planning, termination payments, stock option schemes and various tax-related issues. She previously worked for the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department.

Mark Howarth

Thomson Financial

Based in Hong Kong, Mr Howarth will drive the strategy and implementation of Thomson Financial's activities to develop and sell its leading financial information and solutions to clients in the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining Thomson Financial, he spent nine years at Instinet, an agency broker, where he held a number of senior positions and was responsible  for overall business strategy and execution in the Asia market.

Victor Kuk

AXA General Insurance Hong Kong

Dr Kuk will lead the company to achieve accelerated growth and profitability and continue to build a leadership position in the local insurance market.   He joined AXA Regional Office in Singapore in 2001 and has led various regionalisation projects to streamline back-end office workflow and improve its efficiencies. He has also managed corporate restructuring projects in various countries, including Australia, Taiwan and Brunei.

Nick-Anthony Buford

Herbert Smith

Mr Buford is the first US securities lawyer to join Herbert Smith's Singapore office, and his hire represents the launch by Herbert Smith of a Singapore-based US securities practice focused on Southeast Asia and India. He advises leading underwriters and issuers on international capital markets offerings of equity, debt and convertible securities in Southeast Asia, India and China. He joins the firm from Hogan & Hartson in Washington DC.

Ting Wai-ho

Mr Ting will be responsible for sales of Granada International programmes in Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. He will work closely with James Ross, the company's regional director in Asia, on the many new media opportunities offered in India. Mr Ting was formerly senior sales executive for Southeast Asia at BBC Worldwide,  in charge of TV programme distribution in Asean countries.

Colin Law

Mr Law has joined the firm as a partner in its Asia practice and will be based in Hong Kong. He is highly regarded as a mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance specialist. His wide-ranging experience covers international capital markets, cross-border transactions and inbound investment transactions. He has advised leading investment banks and corporates on international public equity and debt offerings and listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Kevin Wright

Prudential Hong Kong

In his role as chief executive, Mr Wright will continue to develop the Prudential sales force and explore further opportunities to expand the firm's distribution partnership with Standard Chartered Bank. Mr Wright's most recent position was chief executive of Prudential Assurance Company in Singapore. A veteran of the insurance industry, Mr Wright has held senior positions within Prudential Corporation Asia in India, Japan and South Korea.
