Students from Delia School of Canada dressed up in their national costumes for the school's multicultural festival this week. This year's festival, with the theme of 'Celebrating Identity', showcased the traditional dress, music, talent, sport, stories and traditions of the students. The 1,100 students attending the Delia School campuses at Kowloon and Taikoo Shing come from 41 countries, the largest number in the school's history. Parents and the Canadian Consulate General's vice-consul, political and public affairs, Timothy Edwards, attended a concert on Wednesday where they were entertained by a Japanese drum band and Filipino and Hindi traditional dance. Students performed a violin solo, a Chinese traditional instrumental duet, Chinese dance, Austrian folksongs and Thai dance. St Bonaventure Catholic Primary School pupils also visited the school in an effort to increase communication and foster further educational exchange with local schools.
