A HEARING on an injunction sought by China Light and Power (CLP) against barrister Michael Ford has been fixed to start on March 7 in the High Court.
The action, arising from an inquest in which the company was originally represented by Mr Ford, is set down for five days before Mr Justice Sears.
CLP has asked for an injunction to prevent Mr Ford disclosing any instructions or documents given to him as the company's counsel.
It also asked that Mr Ford be restrained from disclosing his written or oral opinion from the time he was first engaged in relation to the inquest to the present.
CLP also seeks damages against Mr Ford for alleged breach of the duty of confidentiality and alleged breach of his duty as its counsel.
The inquest was related to the deaths of two engineers, Wong Kwong-yu and Yip Ka-pui.
