What is a child prodigy?
A child prodigy is someone who is a master of one or more skills at an early age. They show proficiency in a field usually undertaken by adults. Different indicators like IQ and mental capacity in various fields (eg. music, mathematics, the arts and literature) are used to indentify prodigies. Legendary figures, such as Pablo Picasso and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, were regarded as prodigies when they were children.
