The chairman of a listed company was given a three-week jail sentence yesterday for molesting a masseuse at a spa in the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel.
Joseph Lee Sou-leung, of industrial machinery manufacturer Leeport (Holdings), kissed the masseuse on her right forearm and brushed against her right breast twice during a shoulder-and-face massage on September 5.
The 62-year-old businessman, who had denied indecently assaulting the 22-year-old, was released on HK$2,000 bail pending an appeal.
The court heard that Lee visited the spa and enjoyed the victim's services on August 30 during a family holiday at the hotel resort. He revisited a few days later.
During the session, Lee lay face-up on the bed while the masseuse rubbed his shoulders. He then grabbed her hands and forced them under his back until her forearms were trapped beneath him. He then worked his fingers up her right forearm, brushed the side of her breast, and kissed her forearm, the court was told.
Magistrate Don So Man-lung said Lee was a dishonest witness who lied and was evasive in his explanation, saying he grabbed her hands because 'I wanted to direct her to massage where I felt stiff ... to rub further down to my shoulder blade'.
