Peter Mitchell Chief executive The Asian Public Real Estate Association Mr Mitchell, based in Singapore, will lead the association in promoting, representing and developing the publicly traded real estate sector in the Asia-Pacific region. He has extensive regional experience in advising on real estate transactions, having been involved in deals in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, China, Thailand and Indonesia. He was previously a consultant with a major Singapore law firm. Joji Odori Executive director, retail measurement services ACNielsen Japan Mr Odori will oversee the company's retail business in Japan, taking over from Mungo Gilchrist, who will continue in his role as managing director. Mr Odori joined ACNielsen in 1996, and has held a series of senior client service positions with the company. A graduate of Seinan Gakuin University and Waseda University, where he gained a MBA, Mr Odori has extensive experience in marketing. Paul Slezak Director Aquent Hong Kong Aquent, a global firm specialising in staffing solutions for the marketing, communications and creative industries, has transferred Mr Slezak to head up its operations in Hong Kong. He joined the company in January 2003 as Sydney area manager. Over the past three years he has been instrumental in growing the firm's operations there and assisting with its further development across Australia. Helmut Knipp Senior vice-president - development Langham Hotels International Mr Knipp has more than 30 years of experience in hotel, resort and club development in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific. Before joining Langham, he was managing director of CCA International, Hong Kong, managing 28 clubs and resorts in 14 countries, and handling business development in China. Mr Knipp will lead Langham's development team to extend its business ventures. Sherona Shng Director of communications Langham Hotels International Ms Shng directs the group's communications plan and public relations initiatives worldwide. She is also involved in developing the Langham brand image globally. She has gained extensive communications experience in Hong Kong, the mainland and Singapore. Previously, she worked for New World Renaissance Hotel, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong and the Television Corporation of Singapore. Bob Yang General manager and director Scott Wilson Tianjin Mr Yang, who was deputy general manager of Tianjin Coastal Zone Engineering Company, has 16 years of experience in maritime engineering. He has worked on most of China's northern ports, ports in Africa and Northeast Asia and more than 10 nuclear and thermal power stations in China. He has developed Scott Wilson's business in northern China in the urban design, landscape, environmental and maritime sectors. Woodson 'Woody' Hobbs President and chief executive Phoenix Technologies Mr Hobbs has also been elected as a member of the Phoenix board of directors. Prior to joining Phoenix, he was the president and CEO of Intellisync Corporation from 2002 until the company was acquired by Nokia in February. Before that, he earned broad industry experience as a consulting executive working with the venture capital community, holding interim CEO roles for several start-up companies, including FaceTime.
