The serum contains high-strength vitamin C which, according to the brand, is clinically proven to stimulate collagen growth within 48 hours. The serum is said to stimulate collagen synthesis and restore skin to a smoother, softer and more youthful complexion. Zelens Fullerene C-60 Day Cream (HK$1,600) New to the Hong Kong market, this cream contains a Nobel prize-winning ingredient, Fullerene C-60, which is said to be a powerful neutraliser of free radicals (100 times more effective than the same concentration of vitamin E, according to Zelens). The product is being touted by some as the ultimate time-fighting cream. StriVectin-SD (HK$650) A stretch cream turned anti-wrinkle phenomenon, this American product took the Parisian skin-care market (usually highly protective of its home-grown brands) by storm when it hit the shops last year. Within weeks it became the No1 seller in French Sephora stores. The product was originally intended for pregnant women, but word-of-mouth commendations led to its new-found fame and reincarnation. Dr Perricone A brand that has built its reputation on anti-ageing products. The Face Firming Activator (HK$990) is one of the brand's top three sellers in Hong Kong and is designed to minimise discolouration and enlarged pores and improve skin resilience, tone and texture. It is also said to minimise the appearance of scarring. It contains glycolic acid, alpha lipoic and NTP Complex, a technology containing nutrients to help maintain tone and firmness.
