RED

Red lipstick is a perennial favourite of makeup artists in the winter months, and this year a red pout is one of the hottest looks on the catwalk. If a woman carries only one item in her makeup bag this season, it should be red lipstick. Forget last year's itch to apply colour rough around the edges. This year it is a slick, smooth sweep with the stick. Think Marilyn Monroe. Or, as Dior's makeup artistic director Tyen would have it, think 'intentional provocation'.
