With teenage violence on the rise, youth centres have set aside extra resources to keep high-risk youth out of trouble. The Hong Kong Christian Service offers a programme for non-engaged youth. Participants of the recent 'i Heart' programme went on a nine-day trip to Nanning, Guangxi where they helped the locals build schools. Having just returned from the trip, Ah Wai and Ah Hung miss their days in China a lot. 'The way of life there is much simpler. I don't need to worry about whether I have committed crimes. Although we had to work under sweltering heat every day, I would rather stay there than come back to Hong Kong,' said Ah Hung.
