TWO-time champion David Yao Kam-wai beat Hong Kong Super League champion Chan Kwok-ming 4-2 to reach the final of the Hong Kong Amateur Snooker Championship at the Sun Mong Club in Hunghom last night.

Yao, 44, will meet the winner of tonight's semi-final between seeded Lau Shu-chou and Hong Kong's 21-year-old World Amateur Championship representative, Chan Wai-tat, in the final on Thursday afternoon.
Yao took the first frame 63-62 but the teenager fought back to win the next two. A break of 67 enabled Yao to draw level 2-2 and he then won the next two frames to take the best-of-seven semi-final.
