For hair that needs intensive treatment against split ends check out the new Heat Protection range from Mark Hill. The range is specifically designed to combat problems caused by using heated appliances such as hairdryers or straightening tongs - which can soften the keratin protein in hair, making it susceptible to split ends. Ingredients such as panthenol, vitamin B5 and phytantriol have been used for their ability to create a thermo-protective seal to hair. Four products are available - a cleansing shampoo (HK$85), a conditioner (HK$85), a spray (HK$90) designed to be used before using heated appliances, and Split-End capsules (HK$150 for 30), which contain a serum with vitamin C to give a quick fix to damaged hair.
