Singer-songwriter Chet Lam Yat-fung and film director Pang Ho-cheung are seeking public support for anti-poverty projects in Africa.
Both Lam and Pang took part in an Oxfam trip to Kenya this summer to see the non-profit group's work on improving the country's water facilities and food supply.
They were shocked to see dead bodies of animals with plastic bags and wires left among their skeletons, said Lam after the trip. He said those animals were so hungry that they had to eat garbage.
Lam has written a song, Dry, to express his thoughts after the field trip, while Pang has penned a screenplay, One Day of Ibrahim - A Story Before the Rain.
To set an example for the public to follow, they joined Oxfam as Oxfam Africa Partners and will make donations monthly.
While in Kenya, Lam and Pang made a documentary, HOPE is a word with a FUTURE. It will be shown on TVB Jade, at 11.05pm today.
