New stars on the avenue

Award-winning actors Anthony Wong Chau-sang (left), Tony Leung Ka-fai and Eric Tsang Chi-wai and veteran filmmaker Karl Maka make handprints to join the league of stars being honoured at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui. This year 10 local film industry professionals have been voted by members of the 13 industry associations to be honoured at the attraction. The others voted for were action choreographer Tong Kai, novelist and scriptwriter Ni Kuang, late filmmaker Lo Wei, lyricist and composer James Wong, director and costume designer Chang Suk-ping, and award-winning actress Cecilia Cheung Pak-chi. Ni received the most votes.
