HIP HOP TREAT

Hip hop sensation Kanye West makes his one and only Asian stop in Hong Kong on November 28 at the Hong Kong Outdoor Drive-in.

West is a six-time Grammy award winner and one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People 2005.

He has also worked with such artists as Jay-Z and Mariah Carey.

In this concert, he will be backed by members of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, blending classical and hip hop music. Local singer Edison Chen will open the show.

Tickets at HK$380 to HK$1,180 are available from HK Ticketing on 31 288 288.

PROTECT THE CITY'S PETS

The Hong Kong No Kill City Forum's 'No Kill' event will take place on Sunday from 2 to 6pm at the New World Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui.

The aim is to force the government to ban inhumane methods of killing homeless pets. There will be a photo exhibition, games and speeches. For more information, visit www.hknokillcity.org

DANCE TO THE BEAT

The Academy Dance Ensemble of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) will stage Pulse, today and tomorrow at 8pm, at Drama Theatre in the HKAPA.

The performance is an eclectic mix of new works in ballet, Chinese dance, contemporary dance and musical theatre dance.
