YOU and YOUR family are encouraged to enter the second Hong Kong Energy Efficiency Awards, which is now open for entries.
Organised by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD), the competition is divided into residential properties and commercial properties categories.
Households in residential buildings can enter the 'energy saving' or 'low energy consumption' sub-categories.
The assessment will be based on the merits of the energy-saving practices adopted by the participants.
The judging criteria include leadership and organisation, processes, actual performance and sustainability of the practices.
Speaking at the awards launch ceremony on Monday, EMSD's director Roger Lau Sze-hoi said the competition aimed to raise public awareness of energy consumption.
