Press Room opened recently in what were the offices of the old Overseas Chinese Daily News, on Hollywood Road. The brasserie has the same owners as cheese shop Classified (tel: 2525 3454), which is in the same building. Adam Levin, who worked previously at Bostonian, in the Langham Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui, and who helped open El Taco Loco and Archie B's, in SoHo, is Press Room's chef de cuisine. The menu includes lobster risotto (HK$118), fruits de mer platters (HK$320 for 'le grand' and HK$580 for 'le deluxe'), endive salad with apples and Colston Bassett stilton with quince vinaigrette (HK$65) and main courses such as grilled Black Angus rib-eye with crisp onions and Roquefort potatoes (HK$325) and coq au vin (HK$140). The extensive wine list has a few bottles under HK$300 ranging to top-notch drops such as Ramonet Le Montrachet Grand Cru 1998 (HK$9,900). Press Room is at 108 Hollywood Road, Central, tel: 2525 3444. It is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to midnight, and Sunday, 10am to midnight.
