Wong Kam-po raises his arms in triumph yesterday as he wins the men's cycling road race - Hong Kong's first gold medal at the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. The 33-year-old, who won the same event in Bangkok eight years ago, beat Iran's Mehdi Sohrabi and South Korea's Park Sung-baek in a sprint to the finish on a course shortened because of high winds. 'This is a great result for me and for Hong Kong,' Wong said. He will be rewarded with a HK$250,000 bonus from the Hong Kong Sports Institute's Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme. The 281-strong Hong Kong team are taking part in 28 sports at the 15th Asian Games.
