SHORTLY AFTER Bruce Lee died in 1973, Wing Yeung - then a Hong Kong boy living with his parents in Singapore - moved back to Hong Kong.

The demise of the kung fu star marked the beginning of a new life journey for Yeung, who grew up to become a graphic designer and a martial arts practitioner.

After all these years, Lee is still his idol and, like many fans, he harbours the dream that Lee is still living among us, either in disguise or with a different name and identity.

'The news of his death shocked the world. Lee was then shooting the movie Game of Death and people thought the news was just a promotional gimmick,' said Yeung, who published a collection of drawings, sketches and computer graphics about Lee last month.

The self-financed hardback book of 128 pages, titled Bruce Lee Still Alive, is as much a fantasy fulfilled as a tribute to the late kung fu star.

In addition to sketches and drawings that capture Lee's expressions and gestures, Yeung also sets his hero against modern backdrops, such as the modern skyscrapers along Victoria Harbour).
