This Christmas, fans of Gucci accessories can indulge their passion guilt-free. For the second year in a row, the Italian fashion house is donating some of the profits from its holiday takings to Unicef projects providing education and other critical services to the children of Mozambique, Africa. Designer Frida Giannini has created an exclusive collection of festive pieces, which are available in almost 200 Gucci stores worldwide. Until December 31, 20 per cent of proceeds from the collection will go to Unicef.
From the range of accessories with special Christmas holly charms, standouts include metallic platinum leather pouches (below, top right; HK$1,950 to HK$2,150) and iPod nano cases (bottom left; HK$3,350) in Gucci's signature embossed La Pelle Guccissima leather. Delicate accoutrements include holly keychains (bottom right; HK$1,640) and mobile phone charms (bottom left; HK$1,070). Or, adorn your tree with a selection of modern metal logo ornaments (HK$980 to HK$1,140). Giannini has also designed a fresh seasonal print called Flora Joy, which is printed on plush velvet in handbags trimmed with emerald green leather (HK$8,990 to HK$19,300).
