The Rayavadee Resort in Thailand, considered one of the most luxurious in the popular Krabi area, has just completed a total overhaul of the Pla Luang, the hotel's traditional Siamese junk. The Pla Luang, which carries hotel guests on boating trips on the Andaman Sea, boasts a shining new teak cabin in the style of a Thai house, a bathroom and a changing area. The vessel can accommodate full-service excursions that include barbecue dinners on nearby islands, cocktail cruises and snorkelling expeditions. The resort, part of The Leading Hotels of the World group, has three National Park beaches as its borders. Five beachfront villas facing the Andaman Sea were recently added. They are equipped with either a private pool, a hydro pool or a jacuzzi. Extras include a private butler service for villa guests. The hotel spa offers massages, scrubs, wraps, facials, baths and beauty treatments. Dining options range from traditional Thai cuisine to informal pool-side meals.
