DESPITE a cold winter spell, the sun came out for the 23rd athletics meeting of Pui Shing Catholic Secondary School in Yuen Long Stadium recently.
More than 400 students participated in various track and field events during the December 20-21 meet. Participants of the four Houses (Red, Green, Blue, Brown) were high-spirited and tried their best to pursue better results.
Four teacher teams, each representing their own Houses, took part in the 400 metre relay, which focused the attention of everybody in the stadium.
Besides the existing athletics events, the performance of the supporting ''Cheering Teams'' was hilarious.
The guest of honour, Malcolm Long, the Principal of Shun Tak Catholic Secondary School, said he was impressed and felt he was one of the members of the Pui Shing family.
After the keen competition, Blue House won the championship, Red House came in second and Green House the third. Red House won the first prize in the ''Cheering Team'' competition.
