Joseph McManners is not your average 12-year-old school boy. He already has an impressive singing career and has just released his first album, In Dreams. The prodigy's beautiful voice was first discovered through a BBC talent search in 2004. He beat 25,000 children to play the lead role in the BBC screened opera, The Little Prince. In Dreams is a collection of 14 of Joseph's favourite songs. He is backed by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Most of the songs are classics, such as opener Bright Eyes from the animated film Watership Down, and title track In Dreams from the epic Lord of the Rings trilogy. The best track is Walking in the Air, from animated Christmas film The Snowman. Joseph's innocent and soothing voice makes the song heart-warming. His rendition of Johannes Brahms' Lullaby is another highlight, as his expression gives the classic lullaby a refreshing touch. The choirboy's heavenly voice matches perfectly with strings which are expertly played by Prague's top musicians. In Dreams is set to be a hit with classical music lovers young and old.
