DEJA VU
Director: Tony Scott
Starring: Denzel Washington, Paula Patton, Jim Caviezel
The story: Washington plays an agent who is called in to investigate the bombing of a New Orleans ferry.
But as his investigation deepens, he not only bends time and space, but also falls in love with a woman (Patton) who is a complete stranger to him, and whose past holds the key to preventing the catastrophe.
The man at helm: Scott may be the director, but it is Jerry Bruckheimer, the renowned Hollywood producer, who pulls the strings.
This man is the heart and soul of Hollywood, a shrewd filmmaker whose productions since the 1980s - Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop, The Rock, Con Air, Armageddon and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies - are box office winners which were panned by critics, but cherished by the video-game generation.
