Edison Chen Koon-hei seems to be a changed man. To the disbelief of many, the heart-throb shed his playboy image by publicly declaring his love for Vincy Yeung Wing-ching - niece of Albert Yeung Sau-shing of Emperor International Holdings - who's studying in the US.
Now his latest goal is to be a family man: he's working hard to save up for marriage. 'I hope to be more financially stable before thinking about marriage. I hope I can make as much as US$20 million in the next few years,' the 26-year-old singer-actor said at the Nike Air Force 25th Anniversary Party on Sunday, attended by hipsters such as singer Stephanie Cheng Yung and actor Sam Lee Chan-sum.
Does that mean he has less time for his girlfriend? 'What counts is we love and respect each other more.'
Chen is also putting his music career on hold in favour of films and design projects. 'Now I'm focused on my business. I don't do music much anymore. If I am involved in something, it's because I am interested,' he said. He also revealed his plan to open more branches of his fashion/lifestyle brand, CLOT, in Kong Kong and Shanghai.
Film-wise he is in talks with Stephen Chow Sing-chi to star in a dance-oriented movie to be directed by Stephen Fung Tak-lun.
