Following launches in Britain, Ireland and Singapore, ACCA Career Pathways was set up with the help of professional institutions, recruitment consultants and employers.
Information on the website includes news articles, technical and business-related publications, company profiles, role profiles and sector-specific related trends, which are considered essential for effective career development planning for ACCA accounting and finance professionals.
'Information and resources available on ACCA Career Pathways will be updated regularly to reflect the needs and trends in the fast-changing accounting and finance sector,' said Dilys Chau, president of ACCA Hong Kong.
She said the new site acted as a bridge between employers and ACCA professionals because it covered industry trends, which could help both parties match skills with particular positions more effectively.
ACCA Career Pathways is also a valuable tool offering prospective accountants a good grounding of industry news and trends. The site provides an overview of financial services industries, including wholesale banking, investments/asset management, financial advice, retail banking and insurance.
Under each industry category name, visitors can learn about relevant governing bodies, companies in the industry, learning and development opportunities and read comments from key people in the industry who offer advice and real-life success stories.
