Natalie Ng went under scalpel 'to get perfection'

Former Miss Hong Kong Natalie Ng Man-yan has become the first local actress to reveal she has had plastic surgery, a controversial move that has divided the city's feminists.

The 32-year-old underwent a facial makeover in a publicity cause funded by businessman Stephen Shiu Jnr. He paid the actress HK$1 million towards her South Korean trip, retaining her as a spokeswoman for the overseas plastic surgery tours he is promoting.

Ng, a TV presenter and actress, is the first person and actress willing to admit that she has had plastic surgery, which is a local taboo.

Sitting on a red sofa facing cameras, she openly told what part of her face was re-engineered.

'My upper nose was cut and the bone was moved to the front nose, so it looks straight now,' she said matter-of-factly. 'Botox was injected near my eyes to remove all wrinkles and at the two sides of my face to make me look slim.'
