This programme aims to improve the students' marketing career and academic abilities. Requirements Practical experience essential. British honour's degree (or its overseas equivalent) or an acceptable professional qualification; or the University of Leicester's Diploma in Management may be allowed. Programme combines management and marketing knowledge with taught modules and a dissertation. This one-year programme focuses on marketing strategies in the dynamic global marketing environment through analysis of real-world cases; developing a marketing plan and functional tools for the marketing manager to implement the plan; integrates different marketing concepts in new product planning and development. Courses include international business analysis, interactive internet marketing, current issues in marketing and new product planning and development. Requirements Bachelor's degree or its equivalent with at least three years of working experience at a senior level. Candidates who have at least five years of working experience at a senior level and good alternative qualifications may also be considered. A one-year programme, students have to complete the following courses: strategic marketing challenges, innovation for marketing managers, research methods and a dissertation. Requirements Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) plus at least three years' working experiences or holders of the following professional qualifications: Graduate Diploma of the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (HKIM) or Postgraduate Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or an active membership of a fellow or a full member either with HKIM or CIM. PhD in Marketing, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

The goal of this programme is to train individuals for academic positions in universities. It provides training in the theories and methods in marketing subfields, such as consumer behaviour and marketing models. Students are also trained in the research process. Requirements A good first degree from a recognised university or an approved institution. Students without business majors are encouraged to apply. GMAT/GRE and TOEFL. Cost HK$42,100 per year (2006-07 fees). Aid Studentship awards go to full-time students based on academic merit, and such students are expected to teach or do research for the university. Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Britain. Built on the syllabus of the CIM's postgraduate diploma, it aims to equip students with theory and knowledge to practise marketing. Objectives include commercial and not-for-profit marketing, strategic marketing planning, analysing marketing problems on a macro and micro level in an organisation and marketing management. Courses include principles and practice of marketing, marketing/customer interface, international marketing strategy, marketing communications strategy, strategic brand management, direct and e-marketing, strategic marketing in financial services and marketing of international festivals and events. Requirements Honour's degree or an undergraduate degree plus at least a year's experience in marketing or sales, or a professional qualification (e.g. CIM Diploma, HKIM Professional Diploma, IAM Diploma, UCBE Professional Diploma) plus at least a year's experience in marketing or sales, or an undergraduate degree or appropriate professional qualification plus three years' general work experience. Applicants who have five years' experience in marketing or sales, but who fail to meet the entry requirements, can apply for entry as associate students. If accepted, they have to study and pass the principles and practice of marketing and marketing/customer interface before being able to enrol in the full programme.
