Our skin is prone to dryness in winter. Apply moisturiser in the morning after washing your face and patting on toner. If you have oily skin, use an oil-free formula. And don't forget to safeguard your skin with sunscreen.
Aveda Tourmaline Charged Hydrating Creme (HK$500/50ml)
Thick and super-moisturising, it's great for the dry winter months and as a night creme, but could be too heavy for the summer. Aveda promises that its packed with anti-oxidants and it did give a boost to dull skin.
Apivita Tomato Cream with SPF 10 (HK$140/25ml)
The cream is hydrating enough to be used in winter. But you might want to use a hydration mask first on really cold days, like last weekend. Despite its tomato extracts, it's not scented at all.
Face Shop Nutritive Lifting Cream (HK$210/50g)
A thick cream which sinks straight into the skin, leaving skin feeling plump and smooth all day. Some may find its slightly sweet smell off-putting, but this fades after a few minutes.
