Q What do you think of the smoking ban?

Southorn Playground, next to Wan Chai MTR station, is a pleasant setting with youths playing football or basketball, and elderly and young people resting on seats. Now the playground has a small special zone for smokers so most of the people cram into the zone.

Exit the playground onto Hennessy Road, where the pollution is awful and far more harmful than one cigarette. Walk down Hennessy Road and it seems like nearly half the pedestrians are smoking as they have nowhere to go. This makes Hong Kong look bad to the handful of tourists exploring Wan Chai.

Could the government loosen the rules so certain restaurants can apply for an exemption.

It would also be appreciated if the government could create more public areas for smokers to sit. Then we could avoid the army of smokers cruising the streets.

I am sure the ban is good for Hong Kong, but it just needs to be thought out a bit more.
