Ghostbusting gurus
Ghost Hunt (TV series)
Wayward spirits, possessed dolls and evil Onmyouji (a type of Japanese exorcist) are causing havoc in Japan in a new anime called Ghost Hunt.
So, who do you call for help? The Japanese branch of Ghostbusters? No. You call Shibuya Psychic Research Centre (SPR).
Ghost Hunt was originally written by Japanese novelist Fuyumi Ono and was later made into a shojo manga by Shiho Inada and is published by Kodansha in their Nakayoshi anthology magazine.
The anime version is produced by J.C. Staff and began airing in Japan on October 3. J.C. Staff have produced such anime hits as Excel Saga, R.O .D. (TV), Starship Operators and Zero no Tsukaima.
Ghost Hunt is a supernatural mystery anime similar to US TV show The X-Files. However, the Scully and Mulder in this show aren't FBI agents, but teenagers.
