Student group to stage factory protest

Members of the Students and Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour concern group are planning to stage a protest tomorrow at the Hong Kong office of  B-Planet over conditions for its factory workers in Shenzhen. B-Planet was used by a Disney licensee to manufacture goods for sale in Japan.

A Disney spokesman said it investigated  after receiving information about labour violations  and found the factory was not registered with Disney.

Port bill to go before Legislative Council

The Shenzhen Bay Port Hong Kong Port Area Bill will be introduced in the legislature.  Shenzhen Bay Port, a new control point at Shekou,  will be connected to Ngau Hom Shek in the northwest New Territories.
