We studied The Diary of Anne Frank in English literature class. The book tells how Anne and her family were forced to go into hiding during the Holocaust.
Literature lessons allow us to analyse the characters in books. Despite her suffering, Anne showed great determination and courage. She is a source of inspiration for us all.
Many writers, such as Charles Dickens, show us the dark side of society. Others portray the beauty of humanity.
Some people think that literary works are dull. I disagree. Literature is all about life - let's enjoy it!
