Music journalism

- a specialised branch of entertainment journalism, especially criticism (krit-ih-siz-uhm) and reportage about rock, hip hop, classical, and electronic, among other forms of music

Photojournalism

- the collecting, editing (ed?it?ing), and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast using images. Mindy Makkaveri (pictured right) is a photojournalist based in Hong Kong

Embedded journalist

- a news reporter who is attached to a military unit involved in armed conflict

Investigative journalist

- investigative journalism usually concentrates on a very specific topic, and typically requires a lot of work to yield results

Internet journalist

- some journalists only write for publication on the internet, as opposed to print or broadcast journalists whose work also appears online

TV journalist

- often thought of as the most glamorous of journalist positions, but sometimes is the most stressful as presenters are regularly on-camera  (on-kam-ruh); usually, TV journalists have to write stories, present them live, and voice and edit their own news stories

Radio journalist

- a journalist who writes, voices, and edits news stories to be broadcast on radio. Many journalists like the fact that they don't have to worry about what they look like or how old they are. But they do have to have a good voice that is clear and has a pleasant tone
