Donald Tsang Yam-kuen has announced he will run for a second term as Chief Executive.

He claims he has devoted his entire career to the service of Hong Kong and his two years of experience in the post means no one is more suitable than him.

He pledged he would reduce taxes and increase health-care spending. He also promised to speed up infrastructure projects and strengthen Hong Kong's status as China's financial centre.

I support Mr Tsang's bid for a second term. I hope he will keep his promises to cut taxes and increase social benefits.
