The court viewed a four-minute closed-circuit video of the armed robbery of a Hang Seng Bank branch at Belvedere Garden on December 5, 2001. The video shows a security guard raising a rifle and then falling to the floor. The court earlier heard security guard Zafar Iqbal Khan died during the robbery.
A site visit was made to Belvedere Garden after viewing of the video.
THE TESTIMONY
Pathologist Nam Wai-man said his examination found constable Leung Shing-yan had been shot three times in the head, once in the left shoulder and once in the back. A shot to the top of the head and the one to the left shoulder were both fatal.
The bullets' tracks indicated the fatal head shot was the first of the three to the head, while the shot in the back was fired before the one to the shoulder. 'The shot in his head was fatal. The injury track of the bullet severely damaged his brian.'
